Warm up - 3miles

MP run - 7 miles with 4% incline (2 miles) and 2% (5 miles); wanted to stop the MP run after 2 miles talking about fatigue resistance;doing the uphill part in 8:10 is to fast for me; will do it in 8:20 next time;  2 miles at 8:10 4% incline is draining me too much;  

Cool down - 2 miles

It's hard to walk the fine line between hard training and overdoing it. Sounds like you have a good handle on it though. I've been told that you shouldn't waste yourself in workouts, that it should be tough but you should always feel game for "one more" at the completion, rather than totally bombed. nice double!
